ANSU; OUTCOME OF THE S U G CONGRESS

 The Sug congress meeting started with an opening prayer at about 2pm, at the ETF hall new site igbariam campus,after which the sug president(comr.Ijegalu Felix ) gave an opening remark.
  So many things was said by him while rendering his speech,some of the vital information is as follows;

  Firstly,he spoke about the health of the students letting them know once more that treatment are free of charge because it's included in their school fees and so many questions came in like,how can students rights to that free treatment should or can be implemented? And the sug president throw more lights on that by educating them on how to register for their National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) that when such illness occure that they should go to the NHIS department and report so that a receipt will be issued to them.
  Secondly,he said so many things about the 

increase in school fees,he said "so many people before us has strive for this same course,riots and so many damages where done just for this same shool fees issue but it seems the harder we try the higher they increase the fees,please I think it time we don't bit the meat we know it's not chewable, violence or causing damages can not solve any matter rather than just facing reality,so many people think that our VC has hand in the rising and falling of our school fees,no it's not true,I want you all to know that the university Is managed by some senatorial committee of the state government,so if we should cry or fight it should be directed to the governor". And someone then asked a question 

saying, please sir now we understand more about our school fees payment and also the school has sent us messages that the deadline is on the 29th of  jan.please sir cant the sug committee do something about it like giving us more time to pay?    He said "To me I dont know because we have pleaded before and if you look at our academic calendar you will see that it is a week after resumption that the school fees are supposed to be paid but we pleaded to school authorities to give us more time, so this time arround I think the school is straight on their decision,so if I were you,I will try and pay up before the deadline to avoid carraying a whole semester along because you know what that means".
  Thirdly,he also made mention of the security privileges we are enjoying now that he was the one that argue the government to come to our aids because if you can remember vividly that the major problem the students off campus were  encountering was robbery,rape,cultist problem and manymore but now I think we can now sleep with our two eyes closed,the student vigilante group Is now available and active,you can locate them alone the major road Eagle villa to be 

precised. Those are one some of the things that comr.Ije felix administration brought.
  Fourthly,he assures the student that before the end of the semester light will showup,as he and his committee has be fighting tooth and nail to make sure it comes to pass and as  it stands right now stabilizer has been put in different locations and connections of wires from igbariam direct to awka has started, so he argue student 

to stop criticising his government but rather assist because in every single problem the students face in school from transportation to light and so many others issues affects him also.
  On the issue of free Wi-Fi network he said,"I comr.Ijegalu Felix, am the chairman of all the universities president association in the whole of Anambra state and as it's stand many other schools have this unlimited WiFi but paying 12,000 naira every year go and ask,but I went to called those companies apologise to them to reduce the prise and also educate the students on other network programs that will be helpful,so we are now waiting the school authorities to approve the contract so that it can commence at once".
   After which the deputy Senate president comr.Ezenwonye Hyicient (Hyman)gave rooms for questions to be asked and those questions was based on what was discuss and it was made clearer to the questionnaire once more by the sug president.

  The closing remark was from sen.Obichebe of the Faculty of Education,and the closing prayer came from a student of theater art by name Chidalu, the meeting finally ended at about 4:20pm.
