The Christmas mood in Nnewi was shattered midday today as Chikason gas depot located at Nnewi-Okigwe Road, Anambra State, behind Innoson Motor Manufacturing industry today exploded. According to eyewitnesses, the explosion shook buildings causing panic, deaths and horror. There are doubts Nnewi has ever witnessed anything like this. The depot and its surroundings including family compounds located beside it were completely burnt. Motorcyclists using the depot road were burnt beyond recognition. Deposit Money Banks have commenced a process to stop all customers from using their payment cards, popularly known as Automated Teller Machine cards, for dollar-denominated transactions when they travel abroad with effect from January 1, 2016. SUNDAY PUNCH ’s investigation also revealed the banks would not allow their customers to use naira-denominated ATM cards locally for transactions denominated in forex. This means
